Breakfast Tray 2 by SmallCreationsByMel Breakfast Tray 2 by SmallCreationsByMel
Hey guys!

Here's my breakfast tray #2 =].  This time I made the piece a bit bigger because the plates I used were a bit bigger.  I'm not sure what scale it is though.  I hope you guys like this!!  (I think my potatoes look kind of bad haha.  I will improve next time! They kind of look like tofu right now...LOL).  I made the sausages differently this time and I like how they turned out :D.  I will most likely post a tutorial about it because I love the built in texture (you'll see what I mean when I post the tutorial).

P.S. - I will be posting the aquarium soon too =].  All the pieces are done for the aquarium, just waiting for the resin to dry (need one more layer tomorrow so it should be done the day after tomorrow :D).

Materials used: polymer clay, glaze, TLS, resin, acrylic paint, resin colorant, I bought the plates, glass and silverware (you can find on ebay and etsy)

Omg yummy. This would be the perfect breakfast for me! (that is..if I shrank lol) I love everything in this meal. Nom nom nom.

LOL I will have to agree that your potatoes look like wonderfully flavored tofu, but even that is still very delicious to me. :giggle: I am sure that with your talent, you'll be able to find a way!

Wow! Really creative! :D Could you explain exactly what resin is? I'm not really sure.

it's a 2 part liquid.  It has one part resin, one part hardener I believe. When you mix both parts together, it eventually dries to harden.  It is clearer than clay and looks just like liquid, except it dries.

Oh yes, this looks scrumptious! Even the wrinkly eggs are perfect! The potatoes do look a bit glazed to me. I think if they were a bit whiter, translucent with some 'burned' edging might help the next batch. Also, chive bits on the potatoes would def give it that visual help.

Thank you for your input as always!  I do agree, I think I should have added a bit more translucent clay into the potatoes.  Definitely going to try it again in the future :D.
