So cute! for the spikes you could use bits of thin pine needles coated in glaze!

ooh that might work! Sometimes it's so hard to find things that are tinier than tiny since my miniatures are tiny! haha but pine needles might work! :D awesome idea!

Thank you! How small do you typically make your miniatures(In square centimeters)? If they are over two square centimeters you could get some thin eye pins and cut them to length. I have some real thin ones I could post the measure ments of them a picture of one if you'd like. =)

I'm not sure how you measure by square centimeters? But if it's just centimeters, it is about 1 to 1.5 centimeters in diameter XD

You could stick little pieces of wire in before baking to mimic the spikes.

They look really cool!

Thanks!! I have yet to find wire thin enough lol. All the wire is so thick it looks weird when I tried it out.

Take ANY soft cable and split the braid of tiny copper wires. To change color to darker heat the wire over the stove. There are also ways to make copper green with household chemicals. I hope that helps ;]

Coincidence I saw some cacti today... My Dad nearly jabbed my in the eyes with one that he picked up! Those are some spiky thorns, and yeah, really thin.

Oh, what a fantastic idea. I have 2 tiny real cacti and one of them is not healthy at all no matter what I do. Maybe I can sneak a clay replacement into the pot and nobody will notice

How cute~! It would be interesting to find something to re-create the spikes/spines on the cactus, though I can't think of anything that would survive the oven unless you glued little individual strands of fur on there after it'd been baked. That would be some crazy delicate work though l3
