Chibi Moon Time Key - Fanart by SmallCreationsByMel Chibi Moon Time Key - Fanart by SmallCreationsByMel
Hi guys!

Here's a fanart piece from Sailor Moon.  It is the Time Key that belonged to Sailor Chibi Moon. The chain does not actually go on the key, it is only there for photo purposes. I also couldn't resist puting in that tiny star/sparkle via photoshop XD.  Hope you guys like!

materials: polymer clay
height: ~2.5 inches

not for sale

Beautiful and truly inspiring. Did you use any wire to keep the piece stable? I took artistic liberties to make mine more stable because it's has so many little pieces barely touching each other, so I worried so much about the little pieces breaking off.

I don't think I put wire inside.  I don't wear it so I didn't think to make it more stable :)

Thank you =]. It's not really my idea though, since it is a fan art based on an item in Sailor Moon hehe

Very detailed work and so symmetrical. Beautifully done!

May I ask what kind of polymer clay you use? Is it Premo Sculpey by chance?

You're welcome! =] Is Premo your preferred brand then? I notice a lot of people seem to like it best of the artists on dA. Just trying to decide what kind of clay to buy for myself now that I need some more.

I do prefer premo the most. If there's no premo, fimo is ok too. I try to avoid sculpey

Yeah, I have avoided Sculpey too. Do you order your clay online or get it in the store? My only real option to buy Premo is if I buy it online, but I don't always like to do that because sometimes it arrives and it's old or starting to dry out. :\

I buy my clay in stores. I live in California and there are craft stores here. I'm able to purchase the clay pretty easily. Where do you live? Is it hard to buy clay? Thus you have to order online? It definitely isn't as nice to buy online since you probably have to pay shipping and sometimes if it's shipped during the summer, it will definitely have a chance of drying out on the way to you.

I live in a small town in Michigan. The closest craft store that might have what I need is an hour and a half away haha. I have lots of Fimo/Fimo Soft available in the town half an hour from here, but I have found it isn't meeting my needs like I hoped. I like Premo best, but the store only has a handful of colors in it. None of which I really use. So yeah, it can be difficult.
