Koi Pond by SmallCreationsByMel Koi Pond by SmallCreationsByMel
Hi all!

I felt like making another koi pond. This time I used a different technique to make the Kois, especially the fins. They have a gradient effect and are even thinner than before (I ripped so many while making it lol). This pond is also a little bigger, which measures 2.5 x 1.5 x .5. I also filled it to the brim with resin whereas before it didn't reach the top. I also wanted to attempt at making another lotus. It's still not perfect but I think it is better than before =].

I hope you guys like this!

materials: polymer clay, resin, (bought the rocks), glue, acrylic paint (for the lily pads)
time: ~ 4-5 days

P.S. - I have tutorials on this in my gallery and on youtube =]

Hi,
It is a great project! The resin looks very clear, do you mind sharing the brand you used for this project.
Thanks...

Hi there! I'd love to tell you, but I bought mine in Hong Kong and they didn't give me the whole bottle with the label on it.  I had to put it into smaller containers so it was easier to bring back.

this looks really good! I like this one better than your first one :) do you think you could use clear glue instead of resin? I have no idea how to use resin and I don't want to

I've never done it with clear glue, but I would think it should work.  It just won't be as clear and be super careful of bubbles.  I did tests without anything in the clear glue and I noticed any movements too big would cause many bubbles.  GOod luck if you want to try it :)
