Hey guys! I made a tutorial on how I made the Koi fish for my Koi pond out of polymer clay. I hope you guys will like this! I will also post a tutorial on how to make the lily pads and the pond itself in a few days.

Glad you like my tutorials!! I enjoy teaching how to make miniatures so I'm glad you think it is easy to follow!  The resin i use is Easy Cast from CastinCraft, epoxy resin

i had a ton of trouble with air bubbles in my resin and I followed the directions. Any idea for the next one since I'd really like to not have as many or any air bubbles again.

bubbles come up when the resin is either mixed too fast/roughly, or the thing you use to mix it with doesn't stay in contact with the bottom of the resin.  I haven't really had many bubbles in my resin, I usually just mix slowly and gently and try not to lift my toothpick, which I use to mix the resin.  If you lift your tool when mixing, air bubbles will go into the mix.  Hope this helps you! :)

This helped but I still get air bubbles not as many though. Guess practice makes perfect!

Thank you!  Craft stores sell polymer clay, with the brands Premo, Fimo, or Sculpey.

wow nice job, but i have a question because im kind of a noob with polymer; is it water proof? like does water damage it?

I haven't really tried putting clay through water haha although I do not think it is waterproof. The water would leak through the clay and I think it might damage it.

my fins keep pulling apart when i roll them out. then i end up cutting them instead of just texturing. any way to fix this or should i just keep at it?

:iconsmallcreationsbymel:

Use a lighter hand and go slowly. It takes a lot of patience because you want the fins thin enough to be semi see through. I then used the knife not my fingers to scrape it off of the surface
