Description
I have always loveeed Alice in Wonderland, even the cartoon Disney version (even though some of my friends think it’s really creepy haha). They never really showed Mad Hatter’s workroom (only a little glimpse of it in the recent movie) so I wanted to make one from what I think it would like.
I have to say, the part I love most in the entire room is the sketches and crumpled paper part =]. It was so fun thinking up hat designs and making the little pins to pin the sketches to the wall. I also *heart* the mini purple chair ^___^ it’s sooo cuteee.
The hardest part is probably the tiny stool. GAAHHHH the legs kept falling off (since it is made from wire, so thin it wouldn’t stick right)!! X_X…and it was hard to shape the wood into a circle. I tried cutting it with scissors and apparently too much pressure made the wood crack *siiigh* sooo yay in the end, I drilled tiny holes into the bottom of the wooden seat and applied some glue to the tip of the wires to keep it in place.
All in all, I hope you guys love this piece!! I had sooo much fun making it (even though it took me forever…and I lost motivation halfway through…and had artist’s block…and *complaincomplaincomplain*) ^o^.
